Arrival at Istanbul
Upon arrival at Istanbul Airport meet and greet with our assistant and transfer to hotel. Arrival check-in to hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight stay at Istanbul.
Full Day Experience of Istanbul
Today we spend the full day visiting the sights of Old Istanbul. We will begin at the ancient Hippodrome which was the centre of the civil activities back in the Hellenistic and Roman times, where chariot and horse races and athletic runs took place for the entertainment of the people of Constantinople. Then we proceed to the Blue Mosque, famous for its blue tiles covering its interior walls and also for its six minarets which is a unique feature of this mosque. Nearby is Hagia Sophia Museum, the former Cathedral of Constantinople, considered as the masterpiece of the early Byzantine architecture. Then visit Ibrahim Pasha Palace which houses the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art where we will see an impressive exhibit of Turkish and Islamic art, ranging in date from the 7th Century to the 19th. After lunch we will visit the Topkapi Palace, residence and administrative centre of the Ottoman Sultans. Overnight stay in Istanbul.
Travel to Cappadocia
After breakfast at hotel transfer to Istanbul Airport for early morning domestic flight to Kayseri. Upon arrival, drive to Cappadocia. Arrival visit to Red Valley which is one of the most beautiful trekking valleys in Cappadocia. Explore the famous rock-cut churches and hiking for 5km through the valley. After hiking, rest at the Old Cavusin Village, an old Greek Village in Cappadocia. The village is known with its houses and churches of the Christian clergymen. After lunch at local restaurant visit to Kaymakli Underground City, the place early Christians hid from persecutors. Finally visit to Pigeon Valley. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Overnight stay at Cappadocia.
Full Day Experience of Cappadocia
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visits to Dervent Valley which has various types of fairy chimneys. Pasabaglari (Monk's Valley) with some other types of fairy chimneys. Avanos Region, known with its pottery, a craft dating back to Hittite period. After lunch at local restaurant visits to Goreme Open-Air Museum, which is full of pink, rose and white tapering columns. These tall free standing cones of stone curve and twist as if pulled from earth like taffy. Others are tall like fairy chimneys. The caves were settled in the 4th century as monasteries. Visit some caves on the cliffs to see Byzantine frescoes decorating early Christian churches. Stop at Citadel of Uchisar and Esentepe for beautiful view of Cappadocia. You will also have chance to take photo in these places. Overnight stay at Cappadocia.
Travel to Antalya
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Kayseri Airport to take a domestic flight to Antalya via Istanbul. Upon arrival at Antalya Airport meet with our assistant and transfer to hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure on the beautiful beaches of Antalya. Overnight stay at Antalya.
Full Day Experience of Antalya
Take a day long excursion to the ancient Greco-Roman sites of the Pamphylia region. We will begin with Perge which is one of the best examples of a complete Roman city. After leaving Perge, we head for the ancient city of Aspendus which undoubtedly has the most perfectly preserved Roman Theater in existence, built in the 2nd century by the emperor Marcus Aurelius. Aspendus has also very well preserved aqueducts from Roman times standing to its almost full height. Continue to Side, the great ancient city and also a popular resort town right on the Mediterranean. We will walk down the shop-lined street to the site of the twin temples of Apollo and Athena with beautiful setting on the seaside. Later, head back for Antalya. If time permits we visit Antalya Archaeological Museum with fine sculptures, sarcophagi and findings from around Pamphylia region. Overnight stay at Antalya.
Depart to Istanbul Airport | Depart to Hometown
After breakfast, transfer to Antalya Airport to take a domestic flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival at Istanbul Ataturk Apt directly taking international flight back to India.
