Leh
Morning arrive Leh (11562 ft), the land of brave hearts and earlier capital of Himalayan kingdomofLadakh and also the 2nd largest district of India (area wise). Upon your arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for check in. Due to sudden arrival at high altitude of Leh you are advised to rest the entire day in order to acclimatize with the conditions. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Leh
Leh – Sham Valley
After breakfast drive following River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway. En-route visiting Gurudwara Patthar Sahib nestled deep in the Himalayas. Proceed further to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity. Afterwards drive further in the picturesque landscape to reach at the confluence of The Indus and Zanskar River. Also visit the Likir Monastery which is one of the most renowned monasteries in the region. Later drive to Uletokpo or Tingmosgang en-route visiting Ridzong Monastery. Evening reach at Sham Valley and check in at your camp for overnight stay.
Leh – Sham Valley
Post breakfast drive to the 11th Century Lamayuru Monastery en-route visiting the mesmerizing Moon Landscapes. Lamayuru is surrounded by mountains on all sides. While returning to Leh, visit the Alchi Gompa. The complex of temples located within the village is the most celebrated of Ladakh’s monasteries and dates back to the 11th century. After Alchi, proceed to visit Basgo. Finally return back at Leh and stay overnight in your hotel.
Leh – Pangong Lake
After an early breakfast, depart for Pangong Lake en-route visiting Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh. Later drive further to reach Thiksey and Changla Pass. The long easy ascent takes you to Changla pass through its winding roads passing through Sakti Village. Reach at Pangong Lake by evening and on arrival, check in at your Camp. Dinner & Overnight at the camp.
Pangong Lake - Leh
Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later drive back to leh en-route visiting Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Drive further to reach Leh and on arrival, check in at our hotel for overnight stay. In the evening you can stroll around the market place for some last minute souvenir shopping.
